THIS AIN'T NO FUCKING APRIL FOOL'S JOKE.
WHAT: The best fucking indie acoustic set in New Orleans.
WHERE: The Neutral Ground, 5110 Daneel St. The Neutral Ground is the deckest fucking coffee house Uptown, featuring live music just about every night, atmosphere, and you know, fucking coffee. It's kind of tough to get there, but you know what? I got a MapQuest setup for you right HERE!
WHEN: 11 pm, April 1st. (TODAY). I know it's kind of late kids, but the set will be over by 12. Ask you parents real nice if you can come. They don't serve alcohol or anything. Shit, your parents can come; consider them fucking invited.
Maybe you've heard about it on WTUL. Maybe Rod's asked you for some input. Maybe I've demanded your presence.
Maybe you just want to go to an awesome show by one of the most electric live performers in a few hundred miles.
Shit, I don't know. But you damn sure better show up at the Neutral Grounds and see randolph naquin jr. guitarist/vocalist of the superb post-everything band Raise High the Roofbeam tear up his acoustic guitar and sing songs about buildings and food.
Nobody really knows what Rod is gonna do! I mean, maybe he'll bring out the Snoop D-O-double-G. I'm banking on some Lou Reed or Pulp or something; shit, I don't know. Doesn't matter; dude's brilliant, it'll be a great show.
What the fuck am I going to do until 11 pm?
Shit, I got that figured out too! Let's go see Sin City! There's a 7:15 and an 8:10 at Elmwood Palace 20. Everyone wants to!
Sweet shit! I have to go to this, but I don't drive!
Maybe some poor soul will have mercy on you. Work out the riding arrangements in the comments, bitches.
Anyway. It's almost 4:00 am, and I've got a shower to take. I'm bummed out about Mitch Hedberg and Drum Wolf.
SEE YOU THERE, GOD DAMNIT.</cut>
